About this episode
On Labor Day in 1990, 65-year old Betty Jones answered a knock at the door, and a killer walked in. He left behind two murders and a mystery that would haunt a small Mississippi town for decades to come. But while most people considered the case unsolvable, a podcaster and a detective would bring it back to life. "48 Hours" correspondent Richard Schlesinger reports. This classic "48 Hours" episode last aired on 6/29/2019. Watch all-new episodes of “48 Hours” on Saturdays and stream on demand on Paramount+.
