Sexual abuse, sexual assault, and harassment can leave survivors feeling powerless, silenced, and afraid they won’t be believed. Attorney and survivor advocate Alreen Haeggquist knows that firsthand. She survived years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse as a child and remained silent out of fear and shame.
