West of Centre

Who Starcast found on this show’s newest episodes, as tags you can paste into your feed. Check them before you publish: the names come from reading your episode notes, and reading can be wrong.

How to add them

Your feed needs the namespace on its <rss> tag: xmlns:podcast="https://podcastindex.org/namespace/1.0".
If your hosting company has a People or Credits setting, enter the same names and links there instead.
If it lets you edit the feed or add custom tags, paste the lines above.

Each link goes to the person’s Starcast page. Photos are included only where we can share them without a credit line.

Guests box for your website

Your recent guests, with a “Powered by Starcast” link. Free to use with that link. It updates by itself once a day.

Why credits matter

Podcast apps that read these tags show who is on each episode, with a name, a photo and a link.
Your guests get credit wherever the episode plays, not only in your show notes, so they have a reason to share it.
Listeners who liked a guest can find them again by name.
The tags live in your own feed. If you change hosting company, they move with you.
