The Takeout with Major Garrett 7/29/26

About this episode

Dr. Anthony Fauci pleads the fifth more than 100 times at a Homeland Security hearing, led by Chairman and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. Major interviews Senator Paul. Dr. Deborah Birx, former White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, gives her perspective on Fauci, as someone who was side-by-side with him during the pandemic. Plus, we are less than a week away from the Michigan Senate Democratic Primary between Abdul El-Sayed and Rep. Haley Stevens. Longtime Democratic Congressman Debbie Dingell discusses that and her reaction to the state being placed earlier in the 2028 presidential primary calendar. All that and more, right here on “The Takeout!”
