About this episode
Cuz, you are not ready for this one! In this episode, the boys dive into one of the most unbelievable stories of the American Civil War: Albert Cashier. Born Jennie Hodgers in Ireland, Albert stowed away to America, enlisted in the 95th Illinois Infantry, and fought through some of the bloodiest battles of the war—all while keeping a massive secret hidden for over 50 years! We talk about Albert’s heroics at Vicksburg, surviving capture, getting a veteran’s pension, and how the fellas in the regiment reacted when the truth finally came out decades later. It’s wild, it’s historical, and it’s pure chaos. Lock in! #HistoryHyenas #ChrisDistefano #YannisPappas #CivilWar #AlbertCashier…
