About this episode
957 PLUMBBOB WILSON Nuclear Deterrence Strategy Force Modernization Peter Huessy reviews the evolution of America’s nuclear deterrent umbrella, which originally protected European and Asian allies against Soviet conventional military superiority. Huessy outlines escalating security threats across nuclear, cyber, counter-space, and electromagnetic spectrums driven by Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. Reaffirming Reagan’s peace-through-strength principle, he rejects nuclear abolition as dangerous bluffing that invites enemy aggression. Huessy emphasizes the urgent necessity of fully modernizing the entire American nuclear triad to maintain credible global deterrence. (9)
