In 2008, Kristi McVee was a new mum flicking through the newspaper when a WA Police recruitment ad caught her eye. Less than two years later, she was sworn in as a police officer. Kristi went on to build a career catching child abuse predators, interviewing child victims and putting their abusers behind bars. But one question kept coming back to her: how do you protect these kids before the harm happens? After a decade in the force, she left to focus on prevention education.
